During these crazy times, some of us have to fend for ourselves. With being stuck at home, one must find ways to keep themselves busy. One thing that I have started to go is cook and bake. While I still haven't been able to do it frequently, once I came across these meatballs, I knew I had to make them again.

My first attempt at making these meatballs went really well, but I felt like the recipe lacked something. So, when I decided to make the second batch, I knew that whatever I used made them taste so much better!
Ingredients:
1. 1 package of ground beef
2. 1 package of ground sausage
3. 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
4. 2 garlic cloves, chopped
5. 1 egg
6. 1 package of mozzarella cheese, chopped into cubes or shredded
7. 1 package of bacon
8. BBQ sauce, (I used Kraft)
9. a dash of salt (I used pink himalayan salt)
10. a dash of pepper
11. a sprinkle of sweet paprika
I personally just eyeballed ingredient 9, 10, 11 because each taste preference is different.
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit

2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, ground sausage, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika with your hands until thoroughly combined.
3. Roll the mixture into golf ball sized balls, use your thumb to create a dent in the balls, add some mozzarella and seal.
4. Cut the bacon rashers in half and roll around the meatballs.
5. Place the meatballs on a tray and bake for 20 minutes
6. Remove from the oven and brush with BBQ sauce, then bake for 5 more minutes. Repeat the brushing and baking at least two more times for a thick layer of BBQ sauce.
If you make these or have any recommendations of how to make the recipe better, leave a comment below!
