One of my favorite pleasures in life is traveling. The idea of being somewhere different and learning about the history and culture is quite mind stimulating. Not to mention having fun by visiting the sights and eating new and amazing food. It is truly one of the best ways to have some relaxation while being adventurous.

One of my more recent travels has been to Saint Louis, Missouri and it was some of the most fun I have had. There are many things to do and places to discover. Here are 5 things that you must see when visiting St. Louis!

1. Missouri Botanical Garden

The Missouri Botanical Garden is one of the oldest botanical institutions in the United States and was founded in 1859.

One interesting thing about this garden is that they even create annual cultural festivals. One festival they include is the Japanese Festival. During the festival there are showcases of the culture's botanics as well as cultural arts, crafts, music and food.

One of my favorite parts of the garden was not only all the pretty flowers and zen vibe, but the ultimate path of relaxation. The garden has a seiwa-en, a japanese strolling garden which includes a large lake, modest traditional buildings, bridges, islands, carp, dry gravel landscaping, and other symbolic features.

2. Busch Stadium

As a Cardinals fan, seeing this baseball city in its prime, it truly a joy and unforgettable experience. The view in and around the stadium beautiful and it has a life to it. Even if you are not a Cardinals fan, I would highly recommend seeing a game here because it is just really fun and there is so much energy in the air. If you are lucky, you might even get a nice tan out of it.

3. City Museum

If you are looking for some fun and adventure, you have to visit the City Museum. Housed in the 10-story warehouse, the City Museum is a mixture of a children’s playground, a funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out repurposed objects. It is like an adult playground with many different themes and mazes to climb. If that doesn't sound like fun, maybe the 10 story slide might intrigue you. If you visit, make sure to wear gym shoes and get ready to be active af.

4. Saint Louis Zoo

The Saint Louis Zoological Park is recognized as a leading zoo in animal management, research, conservation, and education and was opened in 1910.

Bored on a warm, sunny summer day, come join all the cute animals on a relaxing stroll through the zoo. With great exhibits and awesome gift shops, the zoo is a great place to spend an afternoon.

Two highlights from my visit was that not only was the zoo free, but they had amazing drinks!

Here we have a frozen pineapple drink served in the pineapple itself, and you also get the pineapple that was in our cup as well. So you get a refreshing drink and a sweet snack!

5. The Gateway Arch

The Gateway Arch

The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot monument and it is the world's tallest arch, the tallest man-made monument in the Western Hemisphere, and Missouri's tallest accessible building!

The Arch is a great experience because you get to actually go inside and go up to the top. There you will see an amazing view, as seen in the photograph!

St. Louis is always a great trip when I go and hopefully I'll be back there soon! IF you have visited and know of more must go places in St. Louis, leave them in the comments below!
